On December 12th, 2015 Italy’s premier MMA organization—Venator FC — will hold one of the most exciting fight cards of the year, available on online pay per view on MMATV.com. Packed from top to bottom with former UFC and Bellator fighters—and the stars of tomorrow—the card will hold fifteen total bouts, including the opening contests of bantamweight, featherweight, and light heavyweight tournaments, as well as three championship fights.
In the main event of the night, former UFC fighter and The Ultimate Fighter contestant Luke “Bigslow” Barnatt will battle highly touted Italian finisher Mattia “Aittam” Schiavolin for the Venator Middleweight Championship.
Known for his towering height and relentless fighting abilities, Barnatt is a talented athlete who is always looking for the win. His opponent, Schiavolin, is the definition of a “live and die by the sword” fighter—all twelve of his career wins have come via knockout or submission. The skills and styles of these two outstanding competitors will certainly result in a title fight for the fans to remember.
In the co-main event, Italian powerhouse Marvin Vettori will battle the well-traveled Englishman, Jack “The Stone” Mason, for the Venator Welterweight Championship.
An experienced submission specialist, Vettori has competed on each of the previous three Venator cards, winning a four-man tournament for his shot at the belt. A professional competitor since 2005, Mason has fought the who’s-who of the MMA world—and fans know that win or lose, he leaves it all in the cage. This will be a thrilling battle for the belt in its own right, but it will be especially interesting to see who comes out ahead—the seasoned veteran or the up-and-coming young gun.
The action doesn’t stop there. In the featured bout of the night, Bellator veteran Karl “Psycho” Amoussou will battle Hakon Foss, in what is expected to be a thrilling affair.
An action-packed and experienced fighter, Amoussou has competed against some of the best in the sport, and is known for his well-rounded and explosive submission game. A skilled fighter in his own right, Foss has now won three of his last four bouts, including his recent battle with Zebaztian Kadestam at IRFA 9 in September, which was one of the best Nordic fights of 2015. The welterweight will be joining teammate Jack Hermansson (10-2) who has been booked against undefeated Polish fighter Maciej Różański (8-0), it will certainly be interesting to watch.
The preliminary portion of the card airs prior to this, and features nine solid fights— many of which are part of a tournament. Fans residing in Rimini, Italy aren’t the only ones who can enjoy all of the action, either. Venator FC has partnered with the largest international fight broadcast platform in the world, MMATV.com, to bring the card to fans around the globe, in stunning HD. This reliable high-definition stream will be available for just £6.99 or 9.99 Euro (roughly 10 USD)—an absolute bargain.
