On the 12th May 2017, the UK’s top featherweight prospect Daniel Crawford is set to make his return to the cage, this time it’s for the leading MMA promotion in the UK, BAMMA.
The BAMMA 29 event will take place at the Genting Arena in Birmingham and they have a stacked card and they will be pulling out all the stops on May 12th for the thousands of fans in attendance, this coupled with the partnership of the Body power Expo which is being held on the same weekend, BAMMA 29 is sure to be a big hit.
Daniel will be one of the top fighters on the Bamma 29 card in what is set to be an explosive bout vs the home town hero, Ronnie Mann. This highly anticipated featured fight will showcase the Bamma debut of Crawford, a fast rising featherweight prospect, who at the age of 23 boasts an impressive 8-1 professional record. Crawford will bring his unique brand of fighting to the BAMMA cage and he’s looking to use the very experienced and tough as nails, Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann as a stepping stone to the Bamma world title.
Mann who is set for an immediate comeback after his recent title bout loss to Damien Lapilus, wants to do the same, he wants to use the highly touted prospect as a fast track to another title shot. Crawford vs Mann is expected to be a spectacular bout with high stakes on the line, Crawford knows that Ronnie Mann will be the biggest test of his career but he expects to make short work of the “short mann” – Daniel Crawford. Whilst a win for Mann puts him right back on track towards another title shot.
Now looking to build on the back of a perfect 2016, Crawford along with his management team (Mogul Management) and top Light Heavyweight athlete Przemyslaw Mysiala who shares the same management team, recently flew out to the United States to set up training camp at the World Famous American Top Team Gym. Whilst there, Daniel trained with some of the biggest names to have stepped foot in the Octagon.
Since returning from the States, Daniel has been gearing up for his BAMMA debut at his usual home at united martial arts under the watchful eye of his head coach Rahim Modarresi as well as Aeon bjj and revolution martial arts. Crawford’s exciting, unpredictable and unorthodox style has evidently proved difficult for opponents to deal with and will no doubt be challenging for the well-rounded Mann to overcome. Having also recently acquired his purple BJJ belt, Daniel will surely be confident that he can dictate all areas of the fight on May 12th and add another explosive chapter to his already illustrious career which will see him climb the BAMMA Featherweight rankings on the road to the title.
What will surely be an exciting and intriguing bout, tune in and watch the fight live and free on UNILADS Facebook page and see if the prospect on the rise can prove the hype and cement his number 1 contender status.
