Mogul Management are pleased to exclusively reveal that Chi Lewis Parry has taken on a fight at short notice. In just two weeks’ time, he will fly out to Taiwan, Taipei to fight on One FC. His opponent is Alain ‘The Panther’ Ngalani.
Those of you who read Chi’s latest interview will know that he fought Ngalani back in May but the fight was called a No Contest due to an accidental knee to the groin.
Ngalani fights out of Hong Kong and will be 39 years of age when he steps up to face Parry, 9 years his junior, who is undefeated with a record of 5-0. Ngalani has 35 professional Kickboxing fights, 25 wins with 23 knockouts, 7 losses 1 draw and 2 no contests, his mma record stands at 1 No Contest against Parry along with 1 win via spinning head kick KO against Mahmoud Hassan and 1 loss via Submission against Paul Cheng.
Other than in his debut fight where he went to Round 2 against Ollie Beard, Parry has not seen past the first round and neither has Ngalani. Both will be looking to finish the fight quickly and in spectacular fashion. Blinking would be a silly thing to do whilst these two are in the cage.
We spoke to Sid, Chi’s Manager at Mogul Management and asked him his thoughts on the rematch, after the disappointing first meet. He told us.
“Behind the scenes I was pushing for a rematch, but I didn’t think it was going to happen and a few days ago I was on the phone to Chi making plans for the future. I contacted One FC about these plans, within 5 minutes we were presented with the rematch. I called Chi and without hesitation he accepted the fight with only 2 weeks to get ready. I was really happy to tell the truth because I know how disappointed Chi was after his first fight. Everything was perfect but when Alain didn’t get up, it was devastating. Now he gets a chance to put things right and make a run for that title, and I think it will be very hard to stop him obtaining that goal”.
