Arthur Jakub: I Will Finish Him In The First Round

Arthur

Tonight sees Artur ‘ERNE’ Jakubiak taking on Craig Littlewood for the Fusion Fighting Championship Welterweight Title.  We caught up with Artur very close to fight night to find out how he is feeling about the fight.

Fighting out of Masters MMA, Artur tells us that there are some fantastic and experienced fighters there who he can learn a lot from which means he improves his skills each session.  He feels great fighting with his team and says they feel strong together.

“I am proud to represent my team”

There isn’t anyone that Artur really looks up to in the world of MMA.  He is learning every day from his coaches and team mates and wants to become a better fighter.

“I would like to fight on the biggest MMA stages in the world”

There is no historic story that saw Artur start in MMA, he is a fan of challenges and loves adrenaline so it was an opportunity for him to try something new.

“I liked it and here I am now”

Looking back to his fight debut, Artur explains it was a very big step forward for him because his opponent looked like the toughest man in the world.  Artur won in the second round by submission which gave him confidence for his next fight.

Being a good all-round fighter who is comfortable in any area of a fight, Artur feels confident but warns any future opponents that he is most dangerous on the ground.

Tonight will see Artur challenge Craig Littlewood, an opponent he knows little about.  He has seen a couple of his fights and thinks his submissions are the most dangerous.

“I can tell from watching some of his fights that we are a very good match”

Craig is an undefeated fighter but this is not adding any pressure for Artur.  He doesn’t think about it in any way.  All of his previous opponents have been undefeated so it isn’t something Artur worries about at all.

“I am just going to go out there and do my job”

With the fight tonight being for the Welterweight belt, you could understand it if Artur was a little nervous but the fact he could have that belt around his waist at the end of the night just makes him more motivated and hungry to go out there and get the job done.

Having never fought on Fusion Fighting Championship before, Artur feels they look a very professional and well organised promotion and is looking forward to fighting for them tonight and again in the future.

With just a few hours to go until he is in the cage, Artur is convinced he is going to get the win early on.

“I am convinced I will finish him in the first round but I am prepared for a war”

With only one loss on his record Artur is ready to fight anyone they put in front of him and in the short term become a professional and learn as much as he can.  His long term goal is to become a world champion and tonight we are sure we will see Artur’s armed raised at the end of the night and hear the words ‘and the new Fusion Welterweight Champion is……..”
